Make a data request

What you can ask for

Pick whichever applies. You do not need to give a reason for most of them, and exercising them costs nothing.

Access (Art. 15)

A copy of the personal data we hold about you, and an explanation of why we hold it, where it came from, who we share it with and how long we keep it.

Rectification (Art. 16)

Correction of anything inaccurate, or completion of anything incomplete.

Erasure (Art. 17)

Deletion, where we no longer have grounds to hold it. Records we must keep under § 257 HGB or § 147 AO are the usual exception, and we will say so if it applies.

Restriction (Art. 18)

That we hold the data but stop processing it, while something is contested or checked.

Portability (Art. 20)

Data you gave us, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format — or sent directly to another controller where that is technically feasible.

Objection (Art. 21)

That we stop processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3))

Where processing rests on consent, withdraw it at any time. What was done beforehand stays lawful.

How to make the request

Send the following to andree.niehaus@hansalogistics.com, or by post to the address at the foot of this page:

• Which right you are exercising, from the list above.
• Your name, and any email address, telephone number or company name you are likely to appear under in our records — we cannot search for what we cannot match.
• Anything that narrows it usefully: an approximate date, a shipment reference, the subject line of an enquiry.
• For erasure or objection, what specifically you want stopped or removed.

Confirming who you are

We may ask for proof of identity before answering — not to obstruct you, but because handing someone else’s personal data to the wrong person is itself a breach. We will ask for the least that will do, and we will not keep the proof once the request is closed.

How quickly we answer

Within one month of receiving the request, as Art. 12 (3) GDPR requires. If a request is complex, or if there are several, we may extend that by up to two further months — we will tell you within the first month if that happens, and why.

Requests are free. We may charge a reasonable fee, or decline, only where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, and we would explain our reasoning if we ever did.

Before you ask

It may save you time to know that this website collects very little: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking of any kind. The only personal data involved are server log entries and whatever you sent us in an enquiry. The privacy policy sets that out in full.
